(More customer reviews)I'm relatively new to model kits, so keep that in mind. I bought this hoping I found a permanent replacement to a $2 disposable hobby blade I picked up to start with.
My biggest problem with this tool is that the blade is *not* secured in the handle very well at all. Maybe I am missing something here, but the blade will shift when trying to cut with very minimal pressure. I tried using the replacement blades in hopes to remedy this problem, but no luck there.
Secondly the sharpness of the blades leaves a lot to be desired. My "disposable" hobby knife is far sharper even after continued use for probably a month. I think I'll see how far that takes me and then probably just take another $2 hit for one of those.
I would not recommend this product.
