(More customer reviews)My daughter purchased this Moon Sand kit with a gift card she received for her birthday. She and her friend played with the Moon Sand for about 30 minutes, then lost interest (not before spilling it onto my white wicker porch furniture, though).
If your child has no other Moon Sand kits, this little kit is boring.
Don't get me wrong - the Moon Sand stands up to its claim. It never dries out (trust me -- it lasted through several weeks of 90-degree weather in the crevices of my furniture), and it does mold well. The problem is, all one can do is mold it. Once the child molds the sand, there's not much else she can do with it.
I'd recommend getting the larger kits, which include larger amounts of sand and bigger molds, for more fun.
My daughter and her friend love arts and crafts and play with clay and Play-Doh often. This kit was just too small to be an effective toy for them.
